Here are some tips for you to follow to make sure you are getting what you are paying for.
1. Always visit the Breeder/kennel.
2. Make certain the dam (mother) is on the premises and available for you to see.
3. Insist upon being provided with a signed bill of sale stating the puppy is being sold as a purebred.
4. Insist upon being provided with a written guarantee.
5. Confirm that the dog has been permanently and uniquely identified.
6. Confirm Canadian Kennel Club registration of the parents, the litter and the puppy you are about to purchase.
7. Make sure that you have CASH on hand for the deposit or to buy the puppy. As most breeders will only take CASH and are FRIM on the prices that they are asking.
8. Ask if the breeder is a member of the Canadian Kennel Club.
